Focus on optical communication technology
Hirundo has a dedicated laser cutting laboratory, which uses high-power density laser beams as heat sources and computer-aided design and manufacturing technology to process workpieces according to predetermined cutting trajectories and realize a variety of cutting processes. At the same time, Hirundo uses laser cutting technology to process AWG raw materials, which has the advantages of high efficiency, high precision and high quality. And Hirundo also supports customized AWG.
The laser types that Hirundo can provide include: SOA laser, SLED laser, narrow linewidth laser, TO laser, using 14Pin butterfly package or 8Pin butterfly package. It can meet customers' different power requirements of 1mW~10mW and 830 / 1060 / 1310 / 1450 /1550 / 1610 /1650nm different wavelengths requirements, and can assist customers in laser source packaging.
Hirundo has launched special optical fibers, such as double-clad optical fibers, multi-core optical fibers, hollow-core anti-resonant optical fibers, etc., by cooperating with special optical fiber research institutes of colleges and universities. At the same time, it has continuously overcome technical challenges and launched four-core and seven-core multi-core couplers. The main features of multi-core couplers are: fan-in and fan-out equipment for multi-core optical fibers, support for LC/UPC interfaces, support for fundamental mode and minority mode transmission, small device size, and insertion loss: <1.5dB.
Hirundo's polarization-maintaining series products are gradually maturing. In 2024, it has launched PM FA, PM coupler, PM WDM, PM PBC/S,PM MEMS optical switch, etc., and has achieved small-scale supply. Hirundo has a full set of fiber optic device preparation related equipment from Fujikura, including CO2 laser fiber workstation (LZM100, Fujikura), polarization-maintaining fiber fusion splicer (100P+, Fujikura) and large core diameter cutting knife. The goal in 2025 is to achieve professional production of polarization-maintaining series.
